Arrived in Dubai for IFMA’s Global - Middle East Summit (26-27 Nov), in collaboration with FutureFM. And as we are about to launch our first Chapter in the Middle East, I was honored to meet up with the future local UAE Chapter leaders. An amazing group of individuals (we missed some), who are engaged and devoted to create a strong local FM community and support FM professionals by organizing events, trainings, sharing knowledge, networking, etc. Each of these future board members are amazing in their jobs and have signed up for a voluntary role in the board of the Chapter. It reminds me how grateful we should be to be able to work with them and never take it for granted. 42% of #NextGeneration European Union funds goes to climate action investments 5.8 million people in the #EU have been protected against climate-related disasters 22 million megawatts hours in energy consumption have been saved The #Commission has set as an objective that one third of the €1.8 trillion investment from the NextGenerationEU and the EU’s seven-year budget is used to finance the #GreenDeal. #NextGenerationEU is a key funding tool for the clean transition and the target of investing 37% of its funds in climate investments has been exceeded, reaching 42%. This includes over €62 billion from the 25 approved REPowerEU national chapters which will contribute to affordable, secure and sustainable energy. Thanks to climate action investments under #NextGenerationEU, 5.8 million people in the EU have benefitted from protection measures against climate-related disasters, and 22 million megawatts hours in energy consumption have been saved. In France, NextGenerationEU financed the energy efficient renovation of 20,000 social dwellings and of student housing.
