We officially closed our first fund at 115 m€!!! 🚀   Time to step back and extend our gratitude once more to everyone who has made this possible. Together, we are empowering the next generation of champions which will enable us to get to Net Zero and reignite European competitiveness!   This achievement is a testament to the trust and unwavering support of our investors, including a series of large family offices (such as some of the owners of AB Inbev, Umicore, …), global specialist fund-of-funds such as Keeling Capital, institutional investors and sovereign wealth funds (#BNPParibasFortisPrivateEquity, Belgian Growth Fund, PMV, …), and last but not least, a series of well-known technology entrepreneurs (Jan-Willem Rombouts, Gregoire de Streel, Jean Zurstrassen, …).   Also an explicit thank you goes out to Argo Law and Private CFO, our close advisors which supported us from the start in structuring our fund.   With Ampacimon, ENEIDA.IO, Hysopt, Haulogy, Eturnity, EET - Efficient Energy Technology GmbH and Solora BE we already had the opportunity to invest in seven leading companies in across multiple European countries, but we are just getting started … 🌱 Our Article 9 fund will remain dedicated to providing growth and buyout capital toward European scale-ups which are at the forefront of climate change mitigation AND adaptation, in verticals such as grid enhancing technologies, next-generation B2B installers, sustainable buildings, (home) energy management, decarbonization of industry, suppliers to IPPs and more.   We are beyond excited to see what the future has to bring!    #FinalClosing #EnergyTransition #PrivateEquity #VentureCapital

The European Commission just presented its 'Competitiveness 🧭 for the EU', marking a welcome step towards future prosperity. The comprehensive communication outlines the importance of continued efforts to SMARTLY accelerate the energy transition and promote eletrification in order to regain competitiveness. For example, one paragraph states: "An indispensable element in this plan is investing in Europe’s grids, to accompany the progress towards a net zero energy system, reduce risks of curtailment for renewable energy and leverage the benefits of its Single Energy Market. Europe must invest more in modernising and expanding its network of energy transmission and distribution infrastructure, accelerating investment in electricity, hydrogen and carbon dioxide transport networks as well as storage systems." We can only support the swift translation of these strategies into legislative action. But one thing is certain, with companies such as ENEIDA.IO and Ampacimon, our portfolio is ready to act for the sake of our future competitiveness and planet.
