MOF4AIR Project

MOF4AIR Project

Environmental Services

MOF4AIR is a H2020 project aiming to develop and demonstrate the performances of MOF-based CO2 capture technologies.

About us

Carbon capture is a key technology that has the potential to decrease carbon emissions by giving another afterlife to to CO2. However, shifting towards a low-carbon economy requires cost-effective carbon capture solutions to be developed, tested and deployed. In this regard, Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) offer tremendous potential, owing to their large CO2 adsorption capacity and high CO2 affinity. MOF4AIR is a H2020 project gathering 14 partners from 8 countries to develop and demonstrate the performances of MOF-based CO2 capture technologies in power plants and energy intensive industries. The overall objective of MOF4AIR is to demonstrate the performances of MOF-based CO2 capture technologies in power plants and energy intensive industries. To that purpose, MOF4AIR will demonstrate optimized MOF-based adsorbents with fine-tuned CO2 adsorption processes through a multidisciplinary approach.
