Co-Founder and Head of Sustainability @ Palau Project -> Making CSRD accessible and transparent | Group ESG Expert @ Nortal -> Talking honestly about ESG

You asked, and we listened! We’re not big fans of Black Friday — but if it’s about gaining knowledge instead of fueling physical overconsumption, then why not? One question I get asked all the time is: “Maria, how is your course different from ABC or XYZ courses?” Here’s a straightforward answer: Most CSRD/ESRS courses on the market focus on theory. Essentially, they’re polished versions of the educational videos provided by EFRAG. Our Palau Project ESRS Course? It’s built differently. We follow the same approach as in our free case studies: • Practical insights: Based on real-world examples from existing annual reports inspired by ESRS standards. • Simple language: No jargon, just clear, actionable information. • Interactive format: Designed to keep you engaged and learning by doing. And there’s more. • Once you complete the course, you can set up a call with me to ask your questions about ESRS standards. • You also join our exclusive CSRD community, where you can continue expanding your knowledge with other professionals. • Plus, you get a free trial of our platform, so you can roll up your sleeves and experience CSRD implementation in practice. I would like to challenge you to find a better deal than this. 😁 Link to the course below.

We talk to many professionals daily, and one question we often ask is about their approach to Double Materiality Assessment. After speaking with over 50 professionals, we have identified three main approaches companies are taking. We. are curious, which approach has your company chosen? Or is there another way we haven't mentioned?

What makes us feel fulfilled and excited about our work? The incredible people we meet every day, like Jasminka Rojko. And what really gives us energy is hearing honest feedback from people using our products. We caught up with Jasminka at the recent summit, and she had so many interesting insights on how CSRD adaptation is shaping up in Croatia. She was one of the first supporters of the Palau Project, and in this short interview, you’ll hear why it’s been a game-changer for her. Here is a quick reminder of what the Palau Project has built so far and how it can help you: 𝗘𝗦𝗥𝗦 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 – A free, user-friendly tool that breaks down ESRS standards into simple language. No more getting lost in a data point list with invalid references. 𝗖𝗦𝗥𝗗/𝗘𝗦𝗥𝗦 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 – A solid 4-week course with practical steps for CSRD reporting. No fluff, no long intros—just straight-to-the-point knowledge, challenging tests, and a certificate you can be proud of. 𝗖𝗦𝗥𝗗 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 – An easy-to-use reporting platform with clean UX. It lets you collaborate, do gap assessments, manage files, view disclosure requirements side by side, create multiple reports, check alignment with AI, and export all your disclosed data effortlessly. 𝗖𝗦𝗥𝗗 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 – The most active CSRD community. Daily chats about CSRD challenges, weekly roundtables breaking down complex topics, and a private peer review group. 🤔 If you’re still not using Palau Project, we get it—you prefer the more conservative, old-school approach. But if you’re ready to see how modern, efficient CSRD reporting can actually work for you, maybe it’s time to give us a try. 👉 Change can be tough, but you might just find it’s exactly what you’ve been missing. 🤗 If we have your interest, feel free to schedule a call with us. We have been exploring some challenging topics lately, In this video, we want to dig into whether Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) efforts have a positive impact. After some deep discussions with peers, We’ve realized something that not many people talk about. From a CSRD perspective, it seems like we might never be able to claim a truly positive impact from DE&I initiatives. Why? Here are two reasons that keep coming up: 1. The Gender Equality Problem In theory, gender equality means achieving a 50/50 split between men and women. But let’s be real—that’s not only impractical, it’s impossible to maintain. Even if we somehow hit that perfect balance, how long would it last? And if the numbers shift to, say, 60% women and 40% men, are we still calling that progress? Or are we just swinging the pendulum back to inequality? 2. Minority Representation Targets Then there’s the question of minorities. If a minority group makes up 5% of your company, is that enough representation? Or should the goal be 50%? And if we achieve that, what comes next? Does meeting these targets actually fix the problem, or are we just moving the target to look good on paper? Here’s where we see a major gap in the DE&I conversation: is the negative impact fully remediated once a company hits its targets? And everything beyond that should be seen as a positive impact? Watch the video and let us know your thoughts.

The more we talk to professionals, the more we realize just how many are tackling CSRD as a one-person show. We all know sustainability professionals are passionate about their work and want to make a real impact, but often they have to do it with their hands tied. If you’re reporting on CSRD in 2026 and you’re new to the process, this video is for you! We are sharing 8 easy steps and resources to help you get off to a solid start.
