About us

PlanOpSim develops dedicated R&D software for simulation of metalenses, diffractive optical elements, holograms and planar optics. PlanOpSim's numerical modelling can be used for design of nano-structrured optics, flat lenses and optical system integration. Planopsim has extensive experience in optics and photonics and is available to support your projects on a freelance or consulting basis. Our team has concluded several projects in: *Modeling of photonic devices: metalenses, diffraction gratings, displays, solar cells and more *Development of measurement setups *Modeling of liquid crystal and OLED display and other devices *Characterisation and fabrication of thin film devices

  • Lieven Penninck had the privilege of attending the CIOE (China International Optoelectronic Exposition) conference in Shanghai, some key insights and learnings from him from the conference: 1️⃣ The Future is For the Young You can still clearly fill the dynamism, the excitement of Shenzhen area and the larger China ecosystem. The amount of young people I have met who are passionate about technology is impressive! 2️⃣ Bigger is Better " So you can simulate much larger now? " Ok that's nice, can you do even larger? 3️⃣ WeChat is The Way Business cards are a thing of the distant past ( even more so than USA or European conferences ) WeChat is the way or to quote Joda : " You Must Feel WeChat (TheForce) Around You.
