About us
Retail Estates is a Belgian real estate company that invests mainly in retail properties located on the periphery of residential areas or along access roads to urban centres in Belgium and the Netherlands. The company has a portfolio with a value of over 2 billion euro. The most important long-term objective for Retail Estates is to assemble, manage and expand a portfolio of out-of-town retail real estate which ensures steady, long-term growth due to its location and the quality and diversification of its tenants. The projected growth results both from the value of the portfolio and the income generated from leasing. In the short term, this goal is pursued by continuously monitoring the occupancy rate of the portfolio, the rent collection as well as the maintenance and management costs. Most of the Group’s tenants are well-known retail chains. As of 31 March 2024, Retail Estates has 1,020 premises in its portfolio with a total retail area of 1,228,577 m². The occupancy rate of these buildings measured in rented square metres is about 98%. The board of directors is composed of representatives of a group of institutional investors, independent directors and the management, each of them has built up specific knowledge in the retail sector and/or real estate business. Consequently, all decisions about investments are made expertly and with a view to shareholders’ value. Retail Estates is a regulated real estate company (BE-REIT) and is listed on Euronext Brussels and Amsterdam.

❄🎄 Although very busy right now, Saint Nicholas brought an early visit to the Retail Estates offices last Sunday to the excitement of our colleagues' children (and, frankly, their parents too). Sipping hot cocoa, eating mini pancakes, drawing pictures, singing songs … The perfect recipe for a perfect day! ☕🧇🎁🎶 Our little ones got a funny little performance review ✅ As we knew all along, they behaved really well last year, so Saint Nicholas' attendants happily gave each child a beautiful gift. Unfortunately, not every child is as lucky as ours. That's why for every present Saint Nicholas brought yesterday, Retail Estates also gifted one to Pelicano Kinderarmoedestichting. They offer financial support for children that live in poverty, fight for equal opportunities and aim to give children the youth they deserve. TK MAXX komt naar Alexandrium Megastores ! ! ! In dit voorjaar reeds sloten wij een overeenkomst met TJX Nederland BV voor een derde TK MAXX vestiging in Rotterdam. Nadat wij in het betreffende pand van ruim 2.000 vierkante meter de nodige werkzaamheden hebben uitgevoerd mochten wij op 4 november jongstleden de sleutels overdragen. Onze kersverse huurder TK MAXX is inmiddels volop aan het opbouwen en zal komend voorjaar een geweldige nieuwe winkel openen in de Alexandrium Megastores! Wij zien deze nieuwe winkel als een echte toegevoegde waarde voor het Retailpark. Namens Retail Estates dank ik alle betrokkenen bij deze mooie transactie en wens ik TK MAXX goede zaken in de Alexandrium Megastores!
