The first-ever European Parliament Intergroup on Education and Skills has been approved! As of today, 19 December 2024, the Conference of Presidents has officially launched the Intergroup on the Future of Education and Skills for a Competitive Europe. 🌍📚 This landmark initiative addresses some of the most pressing challenges of our time, including: ✅upskilling and reskilling for the twin transitions ✅growing scarcity of education professionals and trainers ✅declining basic competences of learners ✅skills shortages in various sectors For the Schuman Associates Skills Coalition, this marks a significant milestone. We are thrilled to collaborate with our partners Lifelong Learning Platform - European Civil Society for Education and European Federation of Education Employers and the Co-Chairs MEP Victor NEGRESCU, MEP Nela Riehl, MEP Brigitte van den Berg, and MEP Eleonora Meleti towards new achievements in skills and education. We are delighted to share that the Schuman Associates Skills Coalition, together with Lifelong Learning Platform - European Civil Society for Education and the European Federation of Education Employers, has contributed to the success of the establishment of the first-ever Intergroup on Education and Skills in the European Parliament entitled “Future of Education and Skills for a Competitive Europe”.
