We are thrilled to announce that the SESA Project has been selected as one of the 13 success stories under the Horizon 2020 Green Deal. 🎉 🙌 This recognition celebrates our commitment to advancing #sustainableenergy solutions through the impactful work of our Living Labs in Ghana and Malawi! 🇬🇭 In the case of Ghana, Nastech Power Solutions utilises a circular economy approach to collect, recycle, reuse and repurpose #electronicwaste and waste batteries into second-life energy storage solutions for providing electrification to marginalised communities. 🇲🇼 In the case of Malawi, Smart Energy Enterprise (SEE) facilitates the adoption of #solar-powered irrigation systems among Malawian smallholder farmers through customised, small-scale solar pump solutions available on loan. 7/7 We are excited to announce SLS Energy as one of the selected ventures advancing to the acceleration phase of the #IGNITEChallenge 3.0, where they will receive both financial and technical support for five months. 🎉 SLS Energy provides Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) using batteries retired from electronic vehicles and electronic waste for mini-grids. Their solution offers reliable, real-time monitored power backups, reducing environmental impact and replacing diesel generators. This helps lower CO2 emissions, save costs, and support sustainable electricity for refugee businesses and camps. Day 3 of the SESA Project 4th Regional Event: Peer-to-Peer Exchange – Empowering Cities for Renewable Energy and E-Mobility 🔋🌍 Today, we’re excited to bring together representatives from Moroccan and European cities for a peer-to-peer exchange on collaboration for renewable energy and e-mobility initiatives! 🚗💡 Participants explored practical solutions in energy consumption, shared mobility, and energy sharing.
