Our Thoughts 💡 | We Don’t Do Black Friday Tomorrow is Black Friday, a day when almost everything is on sale—except our mission. At our concept store, the #SheHUB in Antwerp, we believe in mindful consumption. Black Friday often encourages the opposite, as significant discounts are offered, particularly by large chains. While this can be beneficial for some, it’s often unsustainable for small business owners. Our #SheHUB is home to over 25 small, female-owned businesses. Since our values focus on empowering and supporting these women, we’ve chosen not to follow the trend. Instead, we embrace mindfulness. The products in our store are thoughtfully made, fairly priced, and directly support passionate creators 🧡 Rather than chasing discounts, let’s focus on shopping with intention and supporting businesses that truly care. Every purchase here is an investment in creativity, community, and cultural diversity 🛍️ This season, let’s choose to shop smarter and kinder! ❄️

Let's talk about inclusive entrepreneurship. For the second year in a row, we welcomed students from Thomas More University of Applied Sciences and shared our expertise on inclusivity in entrepreneurship and society in general. 💭 Terms like tokenism, cultural sensitivity, tone-deafness, code switching, and more were covered in our workshop to make students become aware of their surroundings as well as the current playing field they will navigate as future entrepreneurs. 🫱🏽🫲🏾 At #SheDIDIT we always look to create brave spaces, where open and healthy discussions are held & room is made for different opinions. Also a great way to share our women's' stories, their successes and obstacles. “Everyone should follow this workshop”, we couldn't agree more. Our ambition to change the funding gap isn't a big surprise. After years of coaching diverse womenpreneurs, access to funding still remains an obstacle. Our women even face a 'doube bias' - based on both gender and race - which complicates their ability to secure funding or gain industry recognition. Our diverse concept store is open for business again 🥳 On Thursday, October 17, we celebrated the re-opening of our store in Antwerp (Berchem). Now entering our third year, we are incredibly proud to offer a space where womenpreneurs can showcase and sell their products in-store. Our store manager, Sandra de Jager, carefully selects brands and products to provide a diverse range of options. With a renewed focus on the shopping experience and the growth of our womenpreneurs, #SheHUB also serves as a community space where women entrepreneurs can host events, showcase their products, and share their passions and expertise. Always welcome for a visit (and shipping spree) at Statiestraat 5, 2600 Berchem. Open from Wednesday to Saturday, 10h to 18h.
