Have you ever wondered what it takes to become a Tactical Drone Instructor? 🤔 Recently, our Axon Tactical Drone Instructor Course headed to Fort Worth Police Department’s Tactical Village where drone users from agencies across the country were trained on a variety of tactical drones and robots, including Sky-Hero by Axon’s Tactical Robotic Recon System. After completing the course and earning instructor-level certification, participants are able to bring their knowledge and skills back to their agencies and teach new drone pilots within their departments. #Axon #ProtectLife

When technology meets infantry, the result is nothing short of extraordinary. The 2024 National Infantry Days (November 12-14) in Draguignan, France, delivered an ambitious and highly successful event, showcasing the cutting-edge innovations poised to shape the future of defense. Bringing together representatives from every infantry regiment in France, the event served as a platform for defense industry leaders to present groundbreaking innovations designed to equip infantry forces by 2030. It was also an opportunity to reflect and exchange insights on the current and future capabilities of infantry, with discussions on differentiated brigade models and their operational implications. The event featured a rich program, including dynamic demonstrations of future combat scenarios, blending the expertise of the french infantry with the latest industrial prototypes. At the forefront of this innovation was the Sky-Hero by Axon tactical system, with the Loki MkII drone in the spotlight. It received high praise from a distinguished audience, including senior leaders from the French Army’s infantry regiments, such as the Chief of Staff of the French Army and the commanding general of the Foreign Legion. On my recent trip to Europe, Belgium turned out to be one of my favorite stops for multiple reasons. I had the pleasure of meeting several members of the local Belgian State Police and the Belgian Federal Police and learn how they have been leading the way in UAS operations. Big things are happening in the Belgian State Police in public safety drone operations. Going back to 2016, The Belgian Federal Police were pioneers in indoor tactical flying and were instrumental in developing the original Sky-Hero Loki platform. They have been advancing drone use in their operations ever since. To meet some of them and hear their stories was a true honor. I also finally visited the Sky-Hero by Axon HQ in Brussels to catch up with old friends and witness firsthand the expanded operation. I have been either flying the Loki platforms or providing training on them for several years, so this was an amazing experience to visit the great minds behind these tools. Sky Hero is more than just a drone manufacturer, they provide a tactical ecosystem including a ground robot, aerial drone, pole camera, and many attachments, all controlled by one ground control system. I'm looking forward to seeing what's next.

It's fitting that as we close out Axon's Founders Day weekend, we find ourselves back at the National Tactical Officers Association conference, where it all began. Our mission to protect life was clear then and it remains unchanged today. Now, we return with even more solutions to protect more lives in more places...and we are just getting started.

We are proud to highlight the recent success of first responders in Poland, particularly the Fire Department, in pioneering new horizons in rescue operations with the deployment of the cutting-edge Sky-Hero by AXON robotic system ! This milestone achievement was made possible thanks to the invaluable support of our dedicated local distributor, Dilectro Enterprise. In May, around 250 professionals from the Polish Red Cross, Police - including officers from the Department of Search and Identification of Persons of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Gdansk and officers from the Puck District Police Station -  and Fire Department took part in the annual rescue maneuvers, codenamed "Peninsula," in Hel, polish city located north of Gdansk. A major highlight was the performance of the Sigyn MkI sUGV, which played a critical role throughout the exercises. This marks one of the first global deployments of such advanced robotic technology within fire department operations, representing a significant leap forward in how emergencies are managed. The training not only provided an opportunity to master new rescue techniques but also prepared teams for rare, high-risk situations.
