Yesterday, we organized our first team-building event, and it was a blast! 😊
We started the day (very early 🥱) to head to La Grande d’Ychippe, a charming barn near Ciney. It was the perfect place for a team event – peaceful and relaxing, with a cozy wood fire 🔥 to keep us warm on this cold winter day ❄️.
The day began with a breathing exercise and a gong session hosted by Audric. It was a great opportunity to restore balance and harmony between body and mind 🧘♂️✨.
Next, we embarked on creating the “pod’s tree” 🌳 – defining our roots, our trunk, and aligning on our key projects and shared goals. It wasn’t an easy task 😅, but thankfully, Juliette, our talented student, came to the rescue and beautifully sketched the tree! 🎨
For lunch, Anne treated us to fresh, homemade vegetarian dishes. Afterward, we put on our outdoor shoes and braved the wind and rain to oxygenate our brains 🧠. Along the way, we faced an unexpected challenge: the river had overflowed its banks because of the heavy rains these past few days! 🌊 It might sound a bit cliché, but we had to build a makeshift bridge to cross it – a fantastic example of resilience 💪 (special thanks to Nicolas and our real Viking Bernard 🛠️!).
Back at the barn, we wrapped up the day by defining the main missions and goals for each team member. We also identified what energizes us ⚡and what drains us, fostering a shared understanding of how to work together more effectively.
By 6 PM, it was time for a well-deserved drinks, followed by a delicious cheese raclette 🧀 (because, clearly, we hadn’t had enough cheese during the holiday season! 😂).
We all agreed this day was incredibly helpful and gave us a tremendous boost of energy to kick off the new year 🙌
