📰 "The #EuropeanUniversities initiative created alliances with big goals, but they must also deal with a complex funding landscape. Five years in, the team from Una Europa describes what their first-hand experiences have taught them about achieving the alliance’s long-term vision." 🙏We were delighted to share our experience navigating the complex world of funding streams for European Universities alliances in an article published last week by the European University Association as part of their 'Expert Voices' series. In the article, Una Europa's Sophia Karner and KU Leuven's Mariet Vriens take us through the lay of the land, explaining how we in Una Europa have leveraged funding sources from different levels to achieve our goals, including: 💶European programmes 🌍National and regional co-funding 🏫Institutional resource 🧩Over the last five years, our experience navigating these diverse funding streams have taught us to think creatively, putting together different pieces into one Una Europa puzzle. The conclusion? 🎯 The first crop of #EuropeanUniversities alliances have transitioned from lofty declarations to tangible achievements, says Rector Luc Sels of KU Leuven, coordinating partner of Una Europa's rollout project, Una.Futura.
