Mind blown 🤯 during this 2nd day at the Surgical AI Days! Sean Huver’s talk on NVIDIA’s cross-industry collaboration inspiring surgical innovation was simply sensational 👏👏👏We’d need a separate post just to dive into all the possibilities of synthetic data generation and surgical AI agent frameworks. If you haven’t checked it out yet, make sure to explore NVIDIA AI’s Holoscan platform! Next, we witnessed the incredible work of Alexander Ladikos and the ImFusion GmbH team during a live robotic partial nephrectomy. The potential of combining AI & AR was clear, showing how soft-tissue registration—though challenging—can greatly benefit both surgeons and patients. Can’t wait to see where this goes! We also had the chance to try out demos from Medtronic and MicroPort MedBot. Thanks to Medtronic’s VR solution, Nicolas Lopez showed us how to set up the Hugo robot. Truly amazing to see how much time, energy and money VR training can save! Then, the highlight of the day was our session with the Toumai robot, operating from Ghent on a chicken in urgent need of surgery... in Shanghai 🐔🐣. Huge thanks to Lynn Ryon for guiding us through this critical intervention 👨⚕️ Finally, it was great to see how UnVeil Surgical’s mission resonated with so many experts attending the conference. We especially enjoyed meeting Nadim Michel Daher, Beerend Gerats, Thomas Heiliger, and Christian Heiliger—we look forward to connecting again soon! Congrats again to Beerend Gerats for winning the best abstract presentation award! 🏆 We’ll definitely need a few days to process everything that happened over these two days. Which of the above topics should we explore first on our LinkedIn page? 🤔
