After 80 years, VERVAEKE still remains a family group. It has developed from a traditional transport company to a provider of integrated logistics solutions for the chemical and oil industries. Yesterday we had the honor of welcoming Annick De Ridder, the Flemish Minister of Mobility. During her visit, the Minister engaged with our drivers and gained insights into the daily experiences of an ADR truck driver. Also on the agenda: · A test drive in our Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Truck, a hydrogen-powered vehicle with fuel cell technology fuel (1 out of 5 prototypes) Daimler Truck AG INEOS · A demonstration of Belgium's first automated tanker designed for deep-cooled gases distribution. · Hand over of a memorandum outlining challenges in the ADR transport sector regarding sustainability, safety, and efficiency. These innovations showcase our commitment to sustainable and forward-thinking solutions in the ADR transport sector. We kijken ernaar uit om samen met BASF Antwerpen op 12 december alle chauffeurs in de bloemetjes te zetten!
BASF Antwerpen omarmt initiatieven zoals de Dag van de Vrachtwagenchauffeur - La Journée du Routier. “Op deze dag zetten we onze Kings of the Road extra in het zonnetje met een kleine attentie”, zegt Stefan Vodrazka. “Maar voor mij moet het alle dagen Dag van de Vrachtwagenchauffeur zijn. Zij zijn ons visitekaartje naar klanten en essentieel voor het succes van ons logistieke proces. Daarom is het belangrijk om hen voortdurend te ondersteunen en waarderen.” BASF Antwerpen is het grootste chemische productiecentrum van België en het op een na grootste van de BASF-groep wereldwijd. Alleen al in de Antwerpse vestiging telt de Duitse chemiereus 3.700 werknemers. “Voor zijn logistiek werkt BASF grotendeels met externe dienstverleners”, zegt Vodrazka. “Al zetten we onze eigen medewerkers ook in om het transport binnen onze vestiging uit te voeren.” Doe ook mee aan de Dag van de Vrachtwagenchauffeur op 12 december 2024.
