VIA Don Bosco is a Belgian NGO that has been working for the education of young people for over fifty years. We support and finance technical and vocational schools throughout the world. VIA Don Bosco draws inspiration from the Salesian educational philosophy. Our programmes encourage young people to acquire first-rate technical skills but also the life skills they need to integrate into society and the job market. We implement our projects in 15 countries, including Belgium, and give access to quality education to more than 25,000 young people a year.

Op het platteland zijn lokale gemeenschappen vaak terughoudend om hun kinderen naar school te laten gaan. Daarom hebben VIA Don Bosco en de Kameroense partners ervoor gekozen om het programma aan te passen en iedereen te betrekken: ouders, leerkrachten, dorpshoofden, religieuze leiders en zelfs de buren.
Alors qu’en milieu rural, les communautés locales rechignent parfois à envoyer leurs enfants à l’école – ce qui les priverait d’une main-d’oeuvre facile, VIA Don Bosco et ses partenaires camerounais ont choisi d’adapter leur programme. Désormais, tout le monde est impliqué : les parents, les tuteurs, les chefs de village, les chefs religieux et même les voisins.
