At the end of September, we spent a day in Rotterdam for a team-building. We walked 15 kilometers, exploring both historic and contemporary buildings along the way. At 30 different locations, we took on the role of guides, sharing unique details and interesting facts about each place. Of course, there was time for drinks and food throughout the day, and we wrapped things up with a delicious meal at Rotonde, a fantastic vegetarian restaurant. Rotterdam has truly transformed into a beautiful city, filled with green spaces and peaceful spots, as well as impressive historical and contemporary architecture. Last year we finished our study for the transformation of a maritime office building TAB into a dynamic working landscape. Preserving and enhancing the distinctive features of the original building is essential to the revitalization of TAB. Coupled with the 'studiolo' concept, this ensures the building's resilience for the future.

BLUEBERRY HILL: An existing warehouse listed as architectural heritage in Kortrijk will soon be sustainably transformed into a collective residential building. The former warehouse, originally a wooden snuff windmill for grinding tobacco, was formerly known as the "Soetes Molen". The transformation is carefully designed with respect for the existing warehouse, whose building envelope has aged over the years but has also been affected by pollution, additions and planting. The design preserves the original building envelope and adds a new structure in wood construction, following the "box-in-box" principle. As a result, the building retains its original character and atmosphere, but is provided with modern comfort. The residential project includes a total of 18 new apartments and a commercial space on the ground floor. It focuses on young singles and families who are looking for a rich living environment, partly thanks to the collective facilities such as a shared working environment, a garden pavilion, shared cars, shared bicycles and green outdoor space. Blueberry Hill aims to breathe new life into the existing warehouse in a sustainable way, thus giving a positive boost to the neighborhood.
