A Progressive, Pragmatic and truly European Political Party with the same name, values and policies across Europe
About us
Volt is a pan-European, progressive movement that stands for a new and inclusive way of doing politics and that wants to bring real change to all European citizens. A new pan-European approach is needed to overcome current and future challenges, such as - among many others - climate change, economic inequality, migration, international conflict, terrorism, and the impact of the technological revolution on our jobs. National parties are powerless in front of these challenges, because they go beyond national borders and need to be tackled by us as Europeans, as one people. As a transnational party, we believe we can help the European people unite, create a shared vision and understanding, exchange good practices across the continent, and come up with policies together. A new way of doing politics, for a new millennium.

💟🇨🇾🇪🇺 Congratulations to Volt Cyprus for a brilliantly executed General Assembly and historical first election. Thanks to all who supported me and the other candidates navigate the process and to give us confidence. I’m so proud that the voters elected a gender equal Political Council without any need for alignment to meet the constitutional requirement for even representation. Also so incredibly proud of the 3 Turkish Cypriots who were elected in the 1st, 3rd and 5th positions! Incredible! The voters are truly inclusive and democratic. Well done to ALL the excellent candidates, seriously absolutely top calibre people who impressed me very much! I said today my future is purple and it will stay that way. I’m proud of the 17.1% I polled, but alas missed out on being elected effectively by one vote - a funny irony considering I insist ‘every vote counts’. But I am delighted to look forward to working with the party, with old and new friends and colleagues, to progress the ideals of Volt Europa across the entirety of Cyprus. Again, congratulations and here’s to the purple wave!

On Monday December 9, the Netherlands joined Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Slovenia, and Sweden in imposing border controls. This puts one of Europe’s hardest fought successes at risk - freedom of movement. This freedom of movement allows us to travel without constraints, is fundamental for businesses to operate and you will not have to queue for hours for passport control at every border. We continue to stand by that, and so should you. Which is why we’re asking you to sign our petition, now. 30 seconds of your time to defend one of the most important European achievements. Can we count on you? Sign the petition https://loom.ly/18zoNCc. These border controls are supposedly for our safety, but are expensive, and stretch our national Police personnel too thin - and away from delivering the critical work that we depend on. In fact, this actually puts our safety at risk. Unfortunately, the issue of security is often lumped together with migration to score cheap political points. But both challenges require their own solutions. To increase our security, we are working towards a European army and better cooperation between national security services, as well as investing in better social safety nets. To manage migration better, Volt wants a European distribution law, more legal routes and a focus on good integration that will benefit us all. If we do not treat migrants and refugees as scapegoats, but instead protect, and invest in their potential, we open the door to enormous opportunities. We desperately need their knowledge and extra hands to continue to innovate and meet the challenges of the 21st century. For the staff shortage in healthcare, for building houses and for the energy transition. With the current shortages in the labor market, we simply cannot solve these challenges. We are working on progressive plans for sustainable, human solutions throughout Europe. We need your help to spread those plans and give them extra strength. Your support is essential to strengthen our vision for a connected, secure, prosperous and hopeful Europe. Sign the petition: https://loom.ly/18zoNCc. Let's make a difference today.

What a year it’s been! Together, we’ve achieved incredible milestones that set the stage for the transformative change Europe needs! But now, more than ever with the rise of populism globally, we need your support. Can we ask you to click here and chip in 25 euro or whatever you can afford to continue our run in 2025? https://loom.ly/N6C_UZ0 This year we have: 🌟 Delivered 1 Campaign, with 1 Programme in 15 European Countries resulting in 5 elected European Parliament representatives elected and over 1.4 million votes Europe wide 💪 Strengthened Volt’s presence with 54 new elected officials at national and local levels, bringing the total to 199 in Z number of countries! 💜 Grown by 6000 Volters to nearly 33,000 Volters around Europe who share our unwavering commitment to a brighter future. None of this would have been possible without YOU: our members, supporters, voters, and followers! Your time, passion, and energy have powered our mission! But this is just the beginning… We’ve made our first steps, but we want to have a lot more impact for a better future for Europe. This is why is so important to start the new year with as many resources as possible, and why we need you TODAY. At the beginning of 2024, we set the goal to raise 150,000 Euros by 1 January 2025. And we’re so close to hitting our goal, with 12,000 left to raise having received donations from over 4000 people! What we will do with this is: 🚀 Grow our Pan-European Community in ALL European countries, so we can connect, empower, and change how politics is being done. We will do so by investing in new teams who will help chapters to scale up, and empower and train talented people to become our next leaders so we can elect new officials in new countries and continue the fight for a better future ! 📢 Get Volt’s message out there! We will do so by investing in a professional communications team and advertising budget to be spent on the chapters, and on Volt Europa events which we will organise in different chapters. https://loom.ly/N6C_UZ0 Help us build Europe’s future with your donation! We are counting on you!
