Lessons from the Munich Security Conference: European unity, now more than ever. 🇪🇺 President Zelensky, leading a European nation under attack, knows first-hand that a common European Army is no longer just a vision, but a necessity. 🇺🇦 Last week's Munich Conference made it clear: an era has ended. With the new U.S. administration turning its back on Europe and undermining our democratic values, we cannot afford illusions or delays. Europe must take its future into its own hands. For our security, our democracy, and our survival. The EU must stand firm against authoritarian threats, support Ukraine unwaveringly, and reform itself to meet the challenges ahead, abolishing vetoes that paralyse action and building a robust, united defence. This is why Volt exists: to defend liberal democracy, multilateralism, and our shared European future. The time to act is now. Through his own courage, he showed that it is possible to resist lies, corruption, lawlessness, and aggression — both against the opposition and neighboring countries. He continued to speak out from the isolation of his solitary cell, condemning the war in Ukraine and defending human rights, democracy, and a free, European future for Russia. Exactly one year ago, on February 16, he was murdered by Vladimir Putin — yet his message to never give up lives on.
