Executive remuneration: It's not just about attracting talent; it's about driving tangible results and long-term value creation. 🚀 🔎 During yesterday's Board Insights Webinar organised in collaboration with Deloitte, Reward experts Sofie Van Breedam (Deloitte), Xavier Baeten (Vlerick Business School), and Ingrid De Poorter (Board and remuneration committee member) explored the evolving landscape of executive pay and the pivotal role of remuneration committees—a topic top of mind for many directors and boards today! ⚡ The discussions centered on how executive compensation can be a powerful lever in modern corporate strategy and governance. We delved into: - The increasing transparency demands from directives like the CSRD and Pay Transparency Directive. - The impact of fairness and transparency in remuneration practices. - How CEOs, boards, and stakeholders shape remuneration strategies in this evolving landscape. One of the main key take-aways, is the crucial need to focus on material KPIs— those that truly move the needle and align with strategic objectives, including ESG goals. 🚀 Boards need to ask themselves: "What truly drives our success, and how can we incentivize executives to deliver on those key drivers?" This requires a deep understanding of the business model, competitive landscape, and long-term strategic priorities and the need to align time-horizons and the interests of all parties involved. 🎤 A special thanks to Sofie, Xavier, and Ingrid for their valuable contributions! Thank you also to all the participants for the engaging discussions. 👏 Looking forward to meeting you all in 2025! 🌟 Warm regards, Women on Board 💡 Want to learn more about our network and our activities? Do not hesitate to contact us at info@womenonboard.be. Yes they can! The first balanced executive committees in the FSI sector are a fact! Congratulations to our member Sandra Wilikens and the entire BNP Paribas Fortis executive committee for pioneering as one of the first balanced leadership teams in the FSI sector! Together with Inge Ampe from CKV and her executive team you put the deed to the word proving that diversity & inclusion at the top are possible! A few key messages we can take from this: - Competence and (gender)diversity are not mutually exclusive! - Women leaders have the right profiles and the ambition to take up board and executive management positions 🚀 - Balanced Leadership at the top sets the tone, not only for the entire organisation but for the entire business community! - And last but bot least: IT CAN BE DONE! 💥 Yes she can! Yes they can! #balancedleadership #womenonboard #inclusiveleadership #settingthetoneatthetop #rolemodelling #yesshecan #yestheycan

Diversity at Board level is crucial for better decision-making! 🚀 We are proud of our member @Ann Caluwaerts as she shares her experience and views on diversity from both an executive manager and board member perspective! 💥 We could not agree more!

Empower Girls, Empower the Future! On International Girls' Day, let's envision a world where every girl can reach her full potential. From education to safety, supporting girls is the first step towards gender equality. Unfortunately, too many girls worldwide still lack access to basic necessities like quality education and a dignified life. But a UNICEF analysis shows that despite these challenges, girls remain hopeful and courageous. It's time for urgent action. Investing in girls' futures isn't just a moral imperative; it's a strategic investment in our own. Let's work together to create a world where every girl can thrive and grow, where their voices our loud and their ideas are heard!
