  • Did you miss our recent Policy Advocacy webinar led by WONCA President Assoc/Prof Karen Flegg? In this session, Karen shares her journey from rural family doctor to global advocate, offering practical lessons in leadership and policy advocacy, including: 🗣️ On the power of delegation: “No leader can do it alone. We need a team. Delegate a whole task, let them take responsibility, and ensure they receive the praise they deserve.” 💡 On amplifying others: “Sometimes, leadership means pushing someone forward where you could have taken the spotlight yourself. It’s about mentoring, supporting, and creating opportunities for the next generation.” 🌍 On saying yes: “If you’re young and new, say yes when a strange opportunity comes up. You never know where it might lead you—even 40 or 50 years later.” Hosted by Amanda Howe and Sankha Randenikumara, this discussion delves into: • Practical examples of successful advocacy in healthcare. • Strategies for leading teams and navigating challenges. • How family doctors can shape local and global health priorities. 📺 Watch the full recording now and learn how to lead effectively, no matter your career stage: https://lnkd.in/ewWN-geE #Leadership #Advocacy #FamilyMedicine #WONCA #PolicyAdvocacy
