Accountant

The Boortmalt Group is a fully owned subsidiary of the agricultural and agribusiness cooperative Axereal. Our relationship with Axereal, Europe's largest grain cooperative, ensures us access to high-quality barley year-round.

As GL Accountant you will be responsible for international accounting processes, month-end and reporting activities. To expand our team, which currently employs 8 people, you will ensure timely, accurate and complete recording of financial data to generate correct financial management information. You are also capable of spotting striking, anomalous matters. You also participate proactively in improving accounting processes and increasing their efficiency.

Your tasks include:

• Your work will focus on the following result areas:
• Monthly, quarterly and year-end closing procedures
• Preparation and checking of journal entries
• Reconciliation of sub ledgers and general ledger accounts
• Ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately and timely.
• Ensuring that all assets and liabilities are accurately recorded at the end of the period.
• Continuously drive improvements to optimise processes and support process improvement, including recommendations for training and procedure updates.
• Perform month-end closing activities, such as preparing balance sheet specifications, financial reconciliations and processing accruals.
• Support the preparation of your entities' monthly reporting packages.

• You have a bachelor's degree/graduate degree
• You have the necessary independence, are stress-resistant and never miss a deadline
• You have experience and thorough knowledge of BEGAAP
• You speak and write English and Dutch fluently. French is a plus
• You have excellent Microsoft Excel skills, knowledge of JDE, Isabel or Connexis are a plus.
• You have good analytical and communication skills
