The Role: Accounting Manager

As the Accounting Manager, you will lead Lansweeper’s accounting operations from their Belgium-based headquarters, overseeing financial processes across Belgium, the Americas, and select European countries. Reporting to the VP Finance, you will have the opportunity to shape the company’s financial strategy while managing and mentoring a growing accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Financial Leadership

• Provide strategic financial direction aligned with company goals.
• Develop and implement robust financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations with a high-performing team.
• Champion process improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including FP&A and HR.

🔹 Financial Reporting

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in line with Belgian GAAP and IFRS.
• Lead monthly closing procedures and coordinate with external auditors.

🔹 Budgeting & Forecasting

• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights to drive decision-making.
• Monitor financial performance and address variances proactively.

🔹 Audit & Risk Management

• Implement risk management strategies and maintain internal controls.
• Serve as the primary liaison for external audits.

🔹 Team Leadership

• Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across departments.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is a skilled accounting professional with a strong leadership background and a global mindset

🔑 Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• 5–10+ years of senior accounting roles, preferably in global environments.
• Expertise in Belgian GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations.
• Experience in financial audits, transfer pricing, and revenue recognition.
• Proficiency in foreign currency management and internal controls.

🎯 Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Private Equity or SaaS reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with tools like Netsuite or Quicken.
• Background in project management or budgeting tool implementation.

💼 Soft Skills:

• A proven leader with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a hands-on problem-solver.
• Thrives in fast-paced, international environments.
