Accounting Manager for Prestigious Worldwide Law Firm

Position Overview
The company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to manage and oversee its Belgian accounting operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of the company's financial processes while contributing to strategic planning and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare general ledger journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory frameworks.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, ensuring proper recognition, depreciation, and disposals.
• Prepare, reconcile, and submit all statutory, regulatory, and compliance obligations while addressing queries from auditors and authorities.
• Monitor updates to local statutory and regulatory frameworks, adapting accounting processes as necessary.
• Collaborate with local managing partners and service teams to support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and ad hoc financial analyses.
• Participate in finance projects, including ERP system optimization, and advocate for continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-5 years in a similar role, preferably within an international environment.
• Languages: Fluency in English is essential, with proficiency in French or Dutch.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IFRS, experience with ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
• Personal Attributes: Rigorous, self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
