Big Data Developer (NL + ENG)

Position: Big Data Developer

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Hybrid: 2-3 times a week on the client´s office

Candidates must possess European nationality or a valid work permit for Belgium

Mandatory Languages: One of the national languages (Dutch and French) must be the mother tongue, and the other language must be understood and readable

Job Description:

We are looking for a Big Data Developer to handle large-scale data processing and build efficient solutions for handling structured and unstructured data.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain big data solutions using tools like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka;
• Optimize data pipelines for high-speed processing and analysis;
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to enable advanced analytics;
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies;
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in big data environments.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in Big Data
• Strong knowledge of distributed computing and big data frameworks;
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala;
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS EMR, Azure HDInsight, GCP BigQuery);
• Familiarity with database systems (HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB);
