Job Description

We are seeking a talented Business Analyst willing to relocate to or currently located in Brussels, Belgium.

The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in data visualization, reporting, and dashboarding, with strong expertise in bridging business needs and technical solutions. This role focuses on collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, perform data analysis, and deliver meaningful insights through reports and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and document reporting and dashboarding requirements.
• Analyzing business processes and user needs to design clear and comprehensive data/reporting solutions.
• Translating business requirements into reports, dashboards, and actionable data visualizations.
• Working closely with data architects and developers to model data structures aligned with business needs.
• Performing Fit-Gap analysis by evaluating current ("As Is") vs. future ("To Be") business states.
• Advising stakeholders on the best reporting/dashboarding designs to meet their daily operational needs.
• Drafting clear functional specifications for development teams.
• Testing and validating reports and dashboards to ensure accurate data representation from source systems.
• Implementing and overseeing data quality standards, resolving any data integrity issues.
• Collaborating with ETL developers to define data integration requirements.
• Organizing workshops and performing demos for stakeholders.
• Documenting and maintaining business requirements, functional specifications, and data mapping documents.
• Managing change requests to align with overall business and data strategies.
• Supporting go-live activities and providing knowledge sharing to internal teams.
  
  

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a Business Analyst in reporting and data visualization.
• Proven expertise inQlik Sensedashboarding.
• Strong knowledge ofSQLfor data exploration.
• Proficiency in analyzing complex business processes and translating them into reporting solutions.
• Familiarity with data integration tools, reporting tools, and database management systems.
• Experience designing and validating data quality dashboards.
• Ability to bridge business needs and data warehouse solutions.
• Excellent documentation skills for business and functional requirements.
• Capability to perform data profiling and quality analysis to ensure data integrity.
• Strong presentation skills for delivering high-level demos and workshops.
• Knowledge of analysis and modeling tools (e.g., use case diagrams, ER models).
• Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., RUP, Agile, SAFe).
• Understanding of change management principles in data warehouse environments.
  
  

Specific Expertise

• Knowledge ofeProcurement business processes, particularly within the European Commission, is advantageous.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with multiple data sources integrated into dashboards.
• Practical expertise in creating test cases and performing user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Understanding of data quality concepts and applying best practices.
