Business Development Manager (Team Lead) (Pharma & Healthcare)

Location: Belgium

Our client, a global provider of transport and logistics service who are present in more than 75 countries is looking for a Business Development Manager. Your primary responsibility is to expand the business by growing customer relationships. Your main focus will be in the Pharma & Healthcare sectors. Candiates from all over EU are welcome with relocation willingness to Belgium.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Within strategically defined market segments, search for new business opportunities where our solutions provide added value
• Lead a team of 6
• Create and execute a sales strategy on your industry in line with the predefined Sales Strategy, close sales according to sales target
• Develop and maintain long-lasting customer relationships
• Lead the entire tender process with focus on delivering logistics solutions
• Prepare and submit detailed and competitive proposals
• Create regular reports to support decision-making
• Stay up-to-date with market trends and conduct ongoing market trend analysis
• Collaborate closely with the motivated and highly professional teams of relevant departments to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction
• Provide the organization with fresh ideas and new business opportunities by thinking two steps ahead. Use your market insights to help us grow

Required competencies:

• Few years of sales experience preferably in the Pharma & Healthcare logostics industry
• Excellent communication and sales skills
• Proficiency in English
• Experience in tender management processes and warehousing or supply chain process knowledge
• Preferably some network in the Pharma & Healthcare industry
• Driving license with confident driving abilities
• Good presentation skills
• Team lead experience
