BI Specialist - Azure Data Factory & Power BI

In this role, you will primarily work on an Azure-based platform, managing and developing data models and reports. Data is sourced from various systems, processed within the data platform, and visualized using Power BI.

Your expertise will centre on Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Power BI.

Core Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines in Azure Data Factory with integration through Azure Databricks (utilizing Git in DevOps).
• Create and refine analytical models and visualizations in Power BI.
• Act as a senior architect for the BI Azure landscape
• Mentor junior BI data engineers, ensuring thorough documentation of solutions and transferring knowledge to the team.
• Provide support to end-users, helping them navigate reports, understand the data models, and build customized reports.
• Troubleshoot issues, monitor system performance, optimize data processes, and manage costs effectively.

Required Expertise and Experience:

• Azure Data Factory & Databricks: Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Power BI: At least 5 years’ experience in developing and managing dashboards.
• Strong foundation in database management and data modeling.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL with general coding expertise.
• Experience with programming languages like Python, Spark, and SQL.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English is essential.
