CFO – PE Backed B2B SaaS Scale-up – Belgium

We’re excited to be working with one of Europe’s most exciting B2B SaaS businesses, who are looking for their first CFO following significant investment from one of the continent’s most prominent SaaS investors.

Aiming to becoming a global leader in their space, they’re already serving over 350 clients across Belgium and the Netherlands and are now expanding internationally into the US, a market 30x larger than their current.

Following a year where they saw 120% growth, while sustaining profitability, the business now requires a CFO to help guide them through their next phase, working closely with their young Founders.

Key responsibilities:

The CFO will lead on all financial aspects of the business, reporting directly to their CEO and leading the overall finance function.

• Responsible for driving the future growth of the business
• Management of a finance team of two (a hands-on Financial Controller and Finance Assistant)
• Strategic partner to the CEO and wider leadership team to support on commercial initiatives and long-term strategic planning (including planning for an exit in c.4-5 years)
• Support their international expansion into the US
• Continuous process improvement and automation to enable the business to scale
• Stakeholder management with the PE investors
• Own and continually develop KPI reporting and analysis of key SaaS metrics
• Identifying performance gaps and areas for potential improvement
• Leading on future fundraising projects
• Oversight of the legal team

Requirements:

• Proven track record of working within a PE or VC backed tech business
• CFO experience in a fast growth start-up or scale-up
• Highly commercially astute
• Ability to become a strategic partner to a CEO
• Excellent communicator with the ability to present well both internally and externally
• Experience in the SaaS space preferred
