We’re the agency with the name that says it all—and yes, we’re every bit as funny, sharp, and vibrant as you’d hope. Since 2012, we’ve been blending creativity, technology, and just the right amount of mischief to craft campaigns that make people laugh, cry, and everything in between. With a slightly-more-than-ten-but-definitely-awesome team, we bring big agency expertise with the warmth and agility of a boutique studio. Two of our three original founders are still here, proving that teamwork (and probably coffee) makes the dream work.


What’s on the menu? Everything digital, of course! From crafting creative ideas and digital (gaming) activations to building websites and social media strategies that don’t just turn heads but deliver real results. As for our clients? ARE YOU OUR NEW CLIENT & OPERATIONS DIRECTOR?

We’re looking for a passionate, entrepreneurial, and people-focused individual to help us manage and grow our client relationships while keeping our operations as smooth as a freshly brewed latte. You’ll be a key player in ensuring our agency’s projects shine brighter, our clients stay delighted, and our team runs like a playlist of absolute bangers on repeat.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Whether you’re guiding the team, developing clients, or streamlining operations, your role will be at the heart of everything we do. Here’s how you’ll shine:


Client Management & Growth (50%)

• Nurture our client relationships like a pro, keeping them strong, impactful, and full of potential to grow.

• Rekindle dormant client connections with fresh ideas and an infectious energy that makes them want to rejoin the party.

• Spot new opportunities, stepping into pitches with confidence and creativity. Develop and lead a dynamic prospecting plan that doesn’t just identify growth opportunities but turns them into lasting success stories.

• Be the go-to leader for your team of Project Managers and interns, offering guidance with clarity and just the right amount of warmth to keep things productive and enjoyable.

• Collaborate with the whole team to create memorable, tailor-made activations—both digital and phygital—that captivate, inspire audiences and deliver results.

• Deliver engaging client presentations autonomously.

• Solve challenges with finesse, ensuring our clients are thrilled and everything runs like clockwork.

• Sweat the small stuff (in a good way) to make sure every project exceeds expectations and wows everyone involved.

• Keep an eagle eye on finances, translating numbers into insights that help us reach and exceed our goals.


Agency Operations (35%)

• Work hand in hand with the founders and Creative Director to refine processes and make operational brilliance feel effortless, using tools like Teamleader Orbit, Monday, Basecamp, Office Suite, Pitch, and cool AI-powered solutions to keep things running smoothly—and always being open to new ideas to make us even better.

• Bring teams together, ensuring projects flow seamlessly and collaboration feels second nature.

• Make hybrid working setups a breeze, ensuring flexibility doesn’t mean sacrificing team connection or productivity.

• Lead the weekly planning, ensuring clear project timelines and the necessary resources are allocated, enabling smooth project execution and effective follow-up.

• Prepare and organize feedback that’s constructive and motivational, working closely with the founders and Creative Director to support success across the agency.

• Help shape our company culture to be fun, open, ambitious, supportive, and creative.

• Develop tailored training plans that empower every team member to shine and grow.

• Use your industry network to find the best talent, building a dream team that’s unstoppable.

• Take ownership of key projects linked to the agency's growth, driving them forward to successful outcomes.


Internal communication & PR (15%)

• Work with the founders and Creative Director to create internal communication plans that aren’t just updates but stories that keep the team informed, inspired, and feeling part of something great.

• Organize and celebrate wins—big and small—because every success deserves its moment in the spotlight, along with the personal milestones and stories that make our people and agency unique.

• Stay ahead of the trends, so we’re not just in the conversation—we’re leading it.

• Be the go-to press contact, crafting updates that catch attention and spark curiosity.

• Collaborate with external PR experts to amplify our voice and extend our reach.

• Help the team keep our social media buzzing with energy and ensure our website reflects the creativity and passion we bring to every project.


WHO YOU ARE

• You’ve got 5–8 years of experience in a creative or communications agency, with a sharp focus on digital strategy, managing clients, teams, and operations (and a knack for turning chaos into clarity).

• You thrive on building relationships—whether you’re nurturing existing ones with the care of a “farmer” or hunting down new opportunities with the drive of a “hunter,” you’re always looking to grow and elevate the agency.

• You’re a natural leader who listens, inspires, helps, and brings out the best in your team—because great teams are built on trust, encouragement, and the regular high five!

• You’re organized, analytical, and creative, with a solutions-focused mindset that makes translating client needs into actionable briefs look easy, driving great results every time.

• You’re at ease using tools like Teamleader Orbit, Monday, Basecamp, Office Suite, Pitch, and cool AI-powered solutions to keep everything running smoothly.

• You’re native in French or Dutch, fluent in the other, and comfortable working in English.

• You’re approachable, positive, open-minded, and foster a collaborative culture where ego takes a backseat to harmony. You bring authenticity, respect, and just the right amount of quirky energy to make the workplace feel vibrant and welcoming.

• Your entrepreneurial spirit means you roll up your sleeves and dive into making the agency even better, always finding ways to stay ahead of the curve and more relevant for clients.

RECRUITMENT JOURNEY

Round 1 > First chat with our recruiter: a friendly 60-minute online conversation where we’ll dive into your background, passions, and skills. We’ll also chat about what excites you about joining Hilarious and why you think we’re the perfect fit for each other.

Round 2 > Meet & Greet at Hilarious: a warm 60-90 minute face-to-face meeting with our founders. This is your chance to show us who you are, how you can contribute to our vision, and, of course, why we should be your next adventure. If the vibe clicks, you’ll get a take-home assignment to show off your creativity and approach—because we love seeing you in action!

• Round 3 > Case presentation: this is your moment to present a case study or project that highlights your creativity, problem-solving skills, and unique approach. We want to see how you think, tackle challenges, and—let’s be honest—impress us with your brilliance.

Round 4 > Team compatibility check: wrap it up with a 60-minute chat with potential teammates to make sure you’ll jive together, align on working styles, and see if you’re up for some fun collaboration.
