About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Freelance Data Analyst to collaborate on exciting projects based in Brussels. This role offers the flexibility of freelancing while working on meaningful, data-driven initiatives. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support informed decision-making and strategy development for our clients.


Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis: Gather, clean, and analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that address business challenges.
  • Reporting and Visualization: Create clear and actionable dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
  • Data Validation: Ensure data quality and accuracy through rigorous validation processes and data cleansing techniques.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with clients, project managers, and technical teams to understand project goals and deliver actionable insights.
  • Performance Metrics: Define, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of projects and initiatives.
  • Predictive Insights: Utilize statistical and predictive modeling techniques to forecast trends and outcomes.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to GDPR and other relevant data privacy and governance standards.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
  • Prior freelancing or consulting experience is highly desirable.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView).
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and programming languages like Python, R, or SAS.
  • Understanding of database structures and data warehousing concepts.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Solid understanding of GDPR and data governance principles.
