We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data and Artificial Intelligence Governance Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategizing and implementing relevant governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure the integrity, security, and effective use of data and AI solutions in the Discovery, Development and Quality (DDQ) organizations, in close collaboration with other areas.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a federated Governance Frameworks to ensure:
Adoption of the FAIR principles in a Data Mesh model: Design and establish data governance frameworks, including policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
Company wide applicable frameworks for responsible & ethical use of AI
Stewardship:
Define data stewardship activities with business functions and data owners, ensuring data is managed and used in compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Define engagement policies to enable AI solutions use in compliance with applicable regulations
Data/AI Governance Ecosystem: oversee the implementation of data/AI governance capabilities including data catalogue, master data management, and data observability in the DDQ space.
Collaboration: Work closely with data owners, IT, and business units to ensure policies are understood and adhered to and facilitate the adoption of the framework in a federated organization. Assure AI solutions respect data governance policies
Data/AI Quality Management: Implement and monitor quality metrics, and work with stakeholders to resolve data quality issues.
Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to promote data/AI governance awareness and best practices across the organization.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.
Reporting: Provide regular reports on data governance activities, data quality metrics, and compliance status to senior management.
Data/AI maturity: Establish and maintain a data maturity assessment and develop the roadmap to enhance maturity in the DDQ space.
Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data and AI governance, data management, or a related field in the life science industry.
Skills:
Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with data management tools and techniques.
Knowledge of regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act, …).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
