(Experienced) Data & Functional Analyst

Job overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced data & functional analyst with min 2 years experience (MUST) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to inform business decisions, identify trends, and drive growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis as well as in functional or business analysis.

Typical responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret complex data sets to inform business decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key insights and trends
• Develop and maintain data visualizations and reports
• Use statistical techniques to analyze data and provide insights
• Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for process and system changes
• Perform data cleaning, validation, and verification as needed
• Work with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide solutions
• Communicate complex data analysis findings to non-technical stakeholders

Competencies

• Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science) - Must Have
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in SQL - Must Have
• Live in Belgium - Must Have
• Knowledge of statistical methods and data modeling techniques - nice to have
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Energy sector experience is a nice to have
• You are native Dutch or French and speak very well the other language - Must Have
