As Senior Financial Controller you are responsible for the monthly controlling activities, and you monitor the quality of the bookkeeping and the accuracy of the financial reporting. You will work together with your 4 colleagues from the Accounting & Controlling department in Ghent.
You get energy from
Performing quality controls on accounting transactions, trial balance and financial reporting;
Optimizing existing and implementing new accounting processes and procedures through automation, documentation, rationalization and the transition to a new ERP package (S4H);
Analysing and investigating financial questions regarding figures recorded in the accounting system;
Act as a finance business partner for management, other departments and other logistics branches;
Collaborate with a Shared Service Center;
Support with internal and external audits;
Carrying out ad hoc tasks.
Your strengths
You combine your Master or Bachelor degree in finance with 5 years of relevant work experience in an international business context. Knowledge of operational and logistics flows is a plus.
Your analytical skills, result oriented and hands-on mentality are your strongest assets.
You get along well with Ms Office, especially Excel.
You have a good knowledge of SAP.
You also have a good knowledge of Belgian GAAP and IFRS.
You express yourself fluently in Dutch and English.
