Financial Controller / Reporting savvy

Otary is a partnership of eight Belgian companies active in the field of renewable energy. Otary develops, finances, builds and manages offshore wind farms. We furthermore provide a broad range of services during an offshore wind project's life cycle.

To strengthen our Finance team in Ostend we are looking for a:

Financial Controller / Reporting savvy

As a financial controller you will be part of the finance team and be responsible for the month end closing and reporting.

• You are responsible for the monthly closing process and prepare the monthly management reporting.
• On a quarterly basis you will make actual/forecast/budget analysis and present them to the internal stakeholders.
• On a quarterly basis you will assist in the long-term cashflow process based upon complex financial modelling.
• With your colleague controllers you will be responsible for the zero-based budgeting process.
• You will be the first contact for your internal stakeholders.

As a reporting specialist you will focus on the business processes and create future proof business reporting.

• You analyse financial data and convert it into financial reporting.
• You have a high focus on data quality and a strong interest in process automation.
• You are interested in the backbone of an ERP system, and you create ways to optimize the end user experience by managing the master data quality and further exploring NetSuite’s capabilities.
• With your excellent BI/Excel skills you are able to rethink and optimize existing (excel) reporting, not fearing complex financial modeling.

As part of the finance team, you will be given the chance to combine your analytical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills into clear business insights for internal and external stakeholders.

We have a match if

• You have a master degree or equivalent by experience.
• You have at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with business reporting is een must.
• You are IT savvy; Power BI and experience with ERP software is a must.
• Knowledge of Netsuite is a plus.
• Excel holds no secrets for you.
• You have strong analytical skills.
• You are an outspoken team player but can also work autonomously.
• You show interest in the offshore wind energy sector and its technical specifications.
• You feel comfortable in a rapidly changing environment.
