Financial Planning Analyst

POLITICO is looking for a motivated Financial Planning Analyst to join its dynamic Finance team. The position is a full-time job-based at POLITICO Europe HQ in Brussels.

What You’ll Do:

In this role, you’ll collaborate with senior members of the Accounting and Finance team and with the Executive team, and you'll be utilizing your technical expertise to provide the following tasks:

Budgeting / Forecasting

• Participate in:
• Participate in the preparation of annual Baseline Budgets / Plans
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly rolling forecasts
• Participated in the preparation of Budgets / Plans linked to expansion projects (new product, new market,…)
• Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts
• Develop financial models and analyze them to support strategic initiatives
  

Special projects

• Assisting in process optimization: implementation of Budgeting and Forecasting software’s / tools
  
  

What You’ll Need:

• Master degree in Corporate Finance, Accounting, or Economics; or commensurate with experience
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in a subscriptions business evolving in an international environment
• Demonstrates excellent financial and quantitative skills
• Strong knowledge of Excel
• Ability in financial modelling (revenues & costs)
• Ability to analyze financial figures and respect deadlines
• Good knowledge of Belgian GAAP and familiar with IFRS
• Professional level French and English
• Pro-active, organized, dynamic and accurate
• Team player and ability to work independently
