Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

About the Role

As FP&A Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving financial planning and analysis for our client's global operations. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you will manage a small high-performing team and work closely with senior management to provide actionable insights that influence key business decisions.

Your key responsibilities will span across the following areas:

📊 Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Lead and oversee the FP&A processes, ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic objectives.
• Conduct financial forecasting to predict future performance, providing insights to senior leadership.
• Perform variance analysis, comparing actual results with budgeted figures, and offer strategic recommendations to enhance business performance.
• Align operational and financial metrics to optimize decision-making.

📈 Reporting & Monitoring

• Prepare regular financial reports, including P&L statements, cash flow statements, and board reports, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Communicate financial performance to internal and external stakeholders, making complex data accessible and actionable.

🚀 Performance Management

• Develop and implement performance measurement frameworks to evaluate business unit and individual performance.
• Monitor and report on key metrics to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

🧑‍💼 Strategic Planning

• Provide financial insights to support strategic planning, including evaluating new projects, investments, and initiatives.
• Act as a trusted financial advisor to various departments, offering guidance on financial performance and strategy.
• Support M&A activities, including target identification, due diligence, and financial performance analysis.

💻 Technology & Systems

• Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of financial systems, ensuring they support business needs and improve financial data accuracy.
• Leverage technology to streamline financial processes and drive efficiencies across the finance function.

🌟 Leadership & Team Development

• Manage and mentor a team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Encourage collaboration across the finance team and other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.

What We’re Looking For

MpowerT is searching for an accomplished FP&A professional with good leadership abilities and a proven track record of driving financial performance in a fast-paced, global environment. You should be an analytical, hands-on leader who thrives in high-growth companies and has a passion for shaping strategic financial decisions.

Key Qualifications:

• 5-10+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally in a SaaS, technology, or private equity-backed business.
• Proven ability to create financial models for revenue, expenses, and cash flow forecasting.
• Experience in M&A activities, including due diligence and business case development.
• A Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Expertise in financial stakeholder reporting, including Board and senior management presentations.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial modeling and analysis tools.
