The Group Finance Services team is all about making the numbers work. We manage everything from budgets to balance sheets, keeping a close eye on how the company is performing financially. We make sure every euro is well spent, and we give the leadership team the insights they need to make smart, data-driven decisions. What you’ll be doing

As a General Ledger Accountant, you and your colleagues are responsible for ensuring accurate and complete accounting for the Holding entities and for timely month-end closings. You work closely with colleagues from Accounts Payable and Financial Controlling, as well as other internal stakeholders, and report to the Group Financial Services Manager. You are vigilant for improvements in work methods and contribute to the optimization of the Group Financial Services Department.

You will take on a versatile role with the following responsibilities:

• Monitoring analytical accounting and performing accounting checks
• Planning, executing, and documenting accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings, along with related reporting
• Preparing monthly reconciliation files and reconciling intercompany transactions
• Submitting VAT returns and corporate tax declarations
• Preparing annual financial statements
• Participating in ad hoc projects

What we’re looking for

• You have minimum 5 years relevant work experience. In audit or as A-Z accountant is a plus.
• You have a Bachelor or Master with a financial or economic focus.
• You are comfortable to work with a double GL accounting (IFRS & BE GAAP).
• You are fluent in Dutch & English.
• You are analytical and solution oriented.
• You are not only eager to learn, but more importantly eager to improve (e.g. optimize processes, work more efficiently,…).
• Excel is a piece of cake for you.
