To support the expansion of our team, argenx is looking for a Ghent Campus Experience & Operations Manager.

Purpose of the Role

As the Ghent Campus Experience & Operations Manager, you will oversee the strategic and day-to-day operations of our facilities to ensure an inspiring, functional, and safe environment for our community. You will collaborate with both external partners and internal teams to create a dynamic campus experience that enhances productivity, creativity, and the well-being of our argonauts, fostering both personal and professional growth.

Together with the Ghent campus team, you will drive continuous improvements, ensuring that our campus remains a vibrant space that supports collaboration, innovation, and motivation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily management of our Ghent campus facilities, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Manage relationships with all facility-related vendors (e.g., reception services, cleaning services, phone handling, audiovisual services, food & beverage suppliers, etc.), including contracting and oversight.
  • Maintain responsibility for the budget and purchase orders related to our facilities in Ghent, ensuring cost efficiency and transparency.
  • Collaborate with the Ghent campus team to:
    • Secure sufficient lab space for our scientists.
    • Ensure sufficient office space for individuals and teams.
    • Develop an efficient system for office space allocation, usage, and reservations through the Commuty app and workstations.
    • Monitor and enhance the Commuty app and workstation functionality.
    • Support commuting initiatives to ensure quick and easy travel to and between different campus buildings.
  • Lead safety and first-aid initiatives on campus, including office safety protocols, ergonomics, and waste collection management.

Skills, Education And Experiences

  • A bachelor's degree in Facility Management, complemented by a minimum of 5 years relevant experience as a facility coordinator in a fast-paced, dynamic organization.
  • Previous experience working in a lab environment is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects and associated budgets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; IT management skills are a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and remain flexible.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • Highly proactive, with the ability to take initiative and make decisions.
  • Collaborative and cross-functional mindset.
  • Creative, with the ability to suggest improvements.
  • Agile and adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity, and skilled at trust-building and resilience.
