Information Technology Controller

Location: Brussels, Belgium (Applicants must currently reside in Belgium with a valid work permit)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Controller to support the financial team of a global automotive brand with its European headquarters in Brussels. As part of the Finance team within the European IT organization, you will be responsible for managing financial processes, optimizing costs, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop and monitor budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and addressing any variances.
• Support management during monthly forecast cycles and with ad hoc reporting requests.
• Drive improvements in financial processes and cycles.
• Assist in establishing an integrated reporting and planning framework.
• Contribute to IT structural cost optimization and reduction exercises at both the HQ and affiliate levels.
• Ensure accurate IT cost allocation across business areas, promote cost ownership, and identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
• Help define requirements, select tools, and implement solutions to support enhanced financial processes.
• Prepare weekly status and activity reports for management.

Your profile:

Education:

Min Bachelor degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting domain.

Experience:

A minimum of 3 years in controlling, ideally within a large IT division serving various business areas.

• Excellent analysis and writing skills
• Self-starter attitude, taking initiative and not afraid of responsibility.

• A clear communicator able to present complex items in a simple way
• Powerpoint
• Advanced level of excel, Power BI is considered as a strong asset

Language:

Fluent in English (corporate language), other languages are asset.
