We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented IT Data Controller to join our team. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, consistency, and security of our data assets while supporting the organization’s data governance initiatives.


The IT Data Controller will be responsible for managing and maintaining the quality of our data across all systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data is accurate, reliable, and properly governed. Your work will be key to ensuring that the organization's data complies with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee and ensure the quality, integrity, and consistency of data across the organization;


  • Implement and maintain data governance frameworks and policies;


  • Work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to identify, resolve, and prevent data quality issues;


  • Support the integration of data from multiple sources and ensure proper documentation and metadata management;


  • Perform routine data audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions;


  • Provide guidance and training to staff on best practices for data management and governance;


  • Monitor and report on data quality metrics and track data-related issues;


  • Assist in the development of data policies and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company objectives.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience);


  • 5 years of experience in data management or data stewardship, preferably within the banking industry;


  • In-depth knowledge of data governance, data quality, and metadata management principles;


  • Proficiency with data management tools and systems (e.g., SQL, BI tools, data integration platforms);


  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset;


  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across various departments;


  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;


  • Familiarity with data privacy regulation GDPR.
