Junior AR/AP Accountant

EDR Antwerp Shipyard is the largest shipyard in Belgium, specializing in ship maintenance, repairs, hull treatment, and marine construction. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Invoice Management: You will support the processing of incoming and outgoing invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with our financial policies. This includes matching invoices with purchase orders, properly coding expenses, making Ledger entries.

Account Reconciliation: You will help review and reconcile supplier and client accounts, maintaining accurate records for accounts payable and receivable.

Financial Reporting Support: Assisting in the preparation of VAT filings and ensuring all required documentation is prepared for external audits and reviews. You will also help with updating and maintaining financial data in our ERP system.

Project Monitoring: You will assist with tracking project-related expenses, ensuring that costs stay within budget and any issues are identified early.

YOUR PROFILE

A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Ideally 1 – 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role

Strong communication skills with a desire to learn and develop.

Good numerical and analytical abilities, with an understanding of financial principles.

Basic IT skills, especially Excel, with a willingness to learn new systems.

Fluent in both Dutch and English (spoken and written).
