Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team in Antwerp. You will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop scalable data pipelines to collect, process, and analyze large volumes of data.
- Implement and Optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure the efficiency and reliability of our data operations.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions.
- Maintain and Monitor data systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Ensure Data Quality and Integrity through best practices and effective data management techniques.
- Stay Updated on the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and propose innovative solutions to improve our data infrastructure.
Essential Skills and Tools
- Proven Experience in data engineering with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with Big Data Technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
- Proficiency in Programming Languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
- Familiarity with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their data services.
- Experience with ETL Tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, AWS Glue, Talend).
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing Concepts and tools like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
- Understanding of Data Modeling and Database Design.
- Experience with Version Control Systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent Problem-Solving Skills and attention to detail.
- Strong Communication Skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
