Junior Financial Controller

Description:

As a junior Financial Controller, you have up till 2 years of experience in providing accurate and timely company records by managing the accounting function :

• You coordinate the monthly / quarterly closings : controlling, analysis and reporting on both cost and income.
• You provide in depth - driver based cost analysis and advice to senior management.
• You produce financial statements and report to the financial regulators and authorities.
• You act as a Single Point of Contact for the external auditor and follow-up of open issues.
• You respond to ad hoc questions from different business lines within your domain.

Next to a proven experience in accounting and cost controlling, you have the following core competences : Analytical thinking, Effective communication, Flexible, Independent, Priority management, Quality driven, Stress resistant.

Client Securities Services’ is accountable for managing the full value chain of securities processing, both for internal (client) customers and external customer using our services (in B2B and B2B2C environment).

The accounting team is a sub-team of our Finance and Controlling team (7 FTE) and is part of the department Finance, Depositary, Data and Reporting.

Within our accounting team we are the owner of several processes such as treasury, payments, fee set-up and accounting and controlling. We overwatch the processes that we have nearshored to Brno, we perform the month-end closing, we provide financial info to our customers,…

What do we expect from you?

You will be part of the general accounting team (part of Finance and Controlling) within the FDDR department of Securities Services.

As a teamplayer, together with the team we deal with:

• The accountability for the in- and outgoing payments from retail and institutional customers of client Securities Services and Bolero. The operations are outsourced to Brno.
•  The accountability for Treasury. The operations are outsourced to Brno.
• Invoicing and fee set-up.
•  General accounting

We ensure a smooth cooperation with Customer Support, Settlement, Risk, Brno,… to ensure:

• o The follow up of outstanding issues. We take ownership of the open issues within our department.
• o The follow up and maintenance or our existing processes. We allign with all people involved to ensure that we use most recent guidelines and procedures.
