A JOB THAT INSPIRES YOU
This JPM position is in principle fully dedicated to the implementation of the project targeting the “Creation of a Technical Secretariat to European Network of Places where the Holocaust Happened”. The JPM will be there to support the whole Expert Team (internal and external experts) in the execution of this project. You will work under the technical coordination of the Project Manager and under the Supervision of the Director of the Department who will both be part of the Expert Team.
Key Responsabilities
Project Management Support
- Assist the Project Team (namely the Project Director and Project Manager) in the planning, execution, and monitoring of project activities related to Holocaust remembrance.
- Support in the development of the work plan, budget monitoring and other project management tools.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, presentations, and meeting minutes, ensuring its accuracy and completeness.
- Aid in organizing meetings, taking minutes, and facilitating communication between project teams and stakeholders.
- Support in quality assurance of project outcomes and deliverables.
- Collaborate with the Project Director and Project Manager in conducting field visits or monitoring missions as required.
- Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and beneficiaries under the guidance of the Project Director and Project Manager.
- Assist in the organization of events, workshops, and seminars related to the project.
- Contribute to the development and dissemination of project communication materials, such as newsletters, press releases, and social media content.
- Aid in administrative tasks related to project management, including procurement, budget tracking, and maintaining project databases.
- Assist in organizing project-related events, workshops, or training sessions.
Abilities and attitudes
- Proactive and enthusiastic team player with a keen interest in project management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and completeness in tasks.
- Experience in negotiating contracts with clients and proven knowledge of EU PRAG requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in history, Remembrance and/or holocaust studies, International Relations, or relevant disciplines.
- Master’s degree or other postgraduate qualifications in relevant fields would be an asset.
- Prior professional experience or internship in project management in related fields is required.
- Sound knowledge of EU cooperation policies and instruments.
- Proven knowledge of the cultural heritage sector, especially in the EU.
- Ability to interact with people and establish good relationships on a longer term.
- Proficiency in English and French is mandatory. Proficiency with MS Office tools, internet research, and database creation/management.
- Proactive and result oriented in his/her work.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the project management domain.
