About The Role

As a Pricing Manager France & Sweet Specialties, you are the first point of contact for the Managing Director for France. Additionally, you are the Pricing Center of Excellence for Sweet Specialties. You manage a team of Pricing Analysts to together develop competitive, accurate price proposals for the sales team using pricing models, market intelligence, and additional input from relevant stakeholders.

In collaboration with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, and other functions you drive the profitability of your business unit. Your leadership supports the growth of your team and those around you. An ideal candidate will enjoy forming relationships, analyzing complex pricing models, driving profitability, and managing people.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Lead pricing strategy and execution in France and the Sweet Specialties division
  • Manage team, ensuring pricing expertise, process execution, and team member development
  • Actively take part in the operational day-to-day pricing activities with the team. Support the members on complicated pricing flows/discussions with stakeholders and customers.
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership and Finance Business Partners to adapt pricing approach to dynamic business needs
  • Create price quotations, support sales with customer negotiations, and book contracts for business
  • Take pricing ownership of assigned accounts in an independent and proactive way
  • Utilize open book pricing models, understanding customer behaviors to drive accurate price setting
  • Develop and manage effective and analytic reporting tools to support the business unit and the organization’s needs
  • Drive Self Service pricing and other departmental initiatives with the team and impacted stakeholders
  • Understand the commodity market fundamentals and gather in-depth knowledge of the chocolate manufacturing process in order to improve the pricing process
  • Review business performance with your Finance counterparts and MD. Discuss and apply corrective actions in the Pricing approach
  • Assist management with training and onboarding of new team members
  • Translate global or regional pricing principles/initiatives into concrete actions for your team
  • Continuous evaluation of our processes and recommend improvements to management

About You

  • At least 6 years of experience in a Finance or Pricing function
  • People-focused leader, encouraging team growth and development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with efficiency and effectiveness
  • Enthusiastic team member with a willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing business demands and priorities
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interface with various levels of management
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (lookup, index-match, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment or with SAP is a plus
