PROCESS ENGINEER - GHENT (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITION

OVERVIEW:

We're currently recruiting a Process Engineer for a vacant position in the dynamic field of consumer electronics development & manufacturing.

This role plays a critical part in driving operational excellence by improving and automating production processes while serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for end-to-end process ownership.

You will work on cutting-edge consumer electronics products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure our manufacturing processes are efficient, reliable, and capable of delivering high-quality products to market.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cleanroom or manufacturing environments and a passion for leveraging data and automation to optimize production workflows.

With a combination of technical expertise and problem-solving skills, you will contribute to the advancement of innovative technologies in the fast-paced and competitive consumer electronics industry.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement automation solutions to optimize workflows, reduce manual intervention, and increase throughput.
• Leverage data-driven insights to enhance process performance and ensure consistency in product quality.
• Take full ownership of assigned manufacturing processes, acting as the SME for operational, technical, and quality-related issues.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analyses for process disruptions, implementing effective resolutions to minimize downtime.
• Work closely with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams to maintain and improve process reliability.
• Utilize programming tools to analyze process data, develop models, and create automation scripts.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports on process performance metrics, improvement initiatives, and automation outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date process documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout the production process.
• Adhere to cleanroom protocols and maintain best practices to safeguard product integrity and operational standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with quality standards and organizational goals.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a cleanroom or manufacturing environment.
• Strong programming skills in C++, MATLAB, Python, or similar languages.
• Hands-on experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and best practices in consumer electronics manufacturing is a plus.
• Experience with automation tools and systems.
• Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and other data analysis techniques.
• Certification in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
