Propulsion Engineer

The role:

As a Propulsion System Expert, you will provide vital technical support for maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancements of our fleet's propulsion systems and related components. You will create maintenance plans and work orders in our asset management system to ensure top-notch equipment reliability. Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to internal stakeholders.
• Act as the main contact between suppliers, repair facilities, and internal stakeholders during work preparation.
• Stay updated on new developments in propulsion for our vessel types.
• Establish maintenance standards for propulsion equipment and related systems.
• Develop cost-effective repair standards for propulsion equipment and related systems.
• Offer technical input for FMEA and RCA conducted by our Reliability department.
• Ensure all work preparations prioritise safety.

Your profile:

In order to perform this role you will need:

• Engineering degree in electromechanics, maritime engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in marine propulsion systems and maintenance.
• Strong technical knowledge and background.
• Proactive, team-oriented, and an effective communicator.
• Innovative and solution-focused.
• Willing to travel abroad, with a work distribution of 80% at headquarters and 20% at vessel locations.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
