Mission

Duration: 6-month mission

IBA is a global leader in the development of particle accelerators and their applications. Our laboratories play a crucial role in supporting research and development processes.

We are looking for a hands-on and versatile technician for a short-term mission to help with the setup and improvement of our R&D laboratories. You will play a key role in the installation and modification of technical setups under the direct supervision of the Lab Manager.

Challenges we trust you with

  • Install and correctly connect components in the laboratories.
  • Modify and adapt existing technical installations according to project needs.
  • Move and organize stock/pallets and equipment within the warehouse and laboratories.
  • Follow up and execute maintenance and setup actions as instructed by the Lab Manager.
  • Contribute to the overall organization of the laboratories, ensuring work areas remain operational and meet safety standards.

What We Value

You have:

  • Degree in electromechanics or equivalent technical training.
  • Experience in installation, modification of technical equipment, and machining.
  • Practical skills in the fabrication and handling of mechanical components.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.

  • Curious and proactive, with the ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Good communicator, able to collaborate with various laboratory users.
  • Fluency in French is essential; English is a plus.
