This role will play a key, hands-on role in coordinating timely and accurate financial reporting and developing and maintaining a secure and robust internal control environment, including preparation of the monthly financial reports Statutory accounts, tax and VAT returns and providing financial information to management.

Responsibilities

  • Financial reporting for local, regional management
  • Support statutory reporting in compliance with Belgian GAAP
  • Operate in compliance with company’s Internal Controls and US GAAP
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors
  • VAT and Intrastat filing, in compliance with VAT regulations for Coopervision Distribution, CVIL(Financial Supply Chain), supporting Coopervision Benelux (Belgian Branch
  • Responsible for the general ledgers, journal entries and Balance Sheet reviews.
  • Business Partnering with other Operational and Support functions (IT, HR, FinOPs)
  • Monthly reconciliation of accounts
  • Administration and review of company credit cards expenses (Concur).
  • Monitor accurate Accounts Payable Process.
  • Preparation of monthly cash flow and variances analysis
  • Responsible of monthly salary entries; supporting and providing analysis and reconciliations
  • Support for Budget & Forecasts update in HFM
  • Be an active participant in the change management
  • Monitor process performance
  • Any other related duties connected with the company’s business and secure business continuity


Qualifications

Technical Competencies

  • Knowledge ERP system (Oracle) is a plus, complimented by Microsoft Office skills.
  • Belgian tax knowledge.
  • USGAAP knowledge.

Work Environment: Open-plan layout Office

Experience: Minimum fives-year experience of all accounting procedures in a medium size international company

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
