Senior Accountant,

Function

• Manage and perform month-end and year-end closing activities for centrally-managed Belgian companies (G/L accounting, payroll accounting, complex accounting) in close collaboration with the Accounting Manager (BEGAAP and IFRS in an SAP environment)
• Lead the accurate and timely monthly calculation of some IFRS adjustments
• Perform reconciliation of accounts and quality checks to ensure accuracy of the figures
• Support to the ICO reconciliation process
• Preparation of monthly/periodic reporting packages (BEGAAP and IFRS) under the supervision of the Management team
• Provide support for reporting activities (internal and external)
• Perform analytical review of the monthly figures to deliver insight to local teams and controllers
• Back up role to transversally support the Accounting & Finance team
• Find opportunities for process and internal control improvements and lead and/or control implementations of solutions
• Participate in and/or lead digital/IT projects
• Collaborate with auditors

Your Profile

• Bachelor or master’s degree in Accounting
• Several years of experience (5y) in a similar role
• Practical knowledge BEGAAP / IFRS
• Proficiency in accounting software, MS Office & Excel
• Experience with SAP
• Good knowledge in French or Dutch and English
• Good analytical Skills
• Team player with effective communication
